SUMMARY OF MORNING WALK AND PERFECT MISMATCH

MORNING WALK

A heart attack makes Joymohan (Anupam Kher), a professor in Kolkata, take stock of his life and prompts him to move to Mumbai to spend time with his son Indra (Rajit Kapoor) and his family. Indra and his grand daughter Gargi (Avika Gor) are delighted to have him with them but his relationship with his daughter-in-law Rita (Divya Dutta) is strained.

A morning walk and a blast from the past brings some unexpected suprises into his life.

He meets Neelima (Sharmila Tagore), an old student and friend who is now a yoga instructor living with her daughter Anjali (Nargis). Neelima and Anjali’s boyfriend Ajay (Shyan Munshi) are supportive about Anjali’s decision to move to the USA for her studies.

The two families who live diverse lives are brought together by a truth that changes their lives in this warm and touching tale.

PERFECT MISMATCH

Perfect Mismatch invites you to join Mr.Bhalla, Mr.Patel, Aman and Neha, as they celebrate life, love and everything in between.

Aman (Anubhav Anand) is a talented young architect. Raised by his uncle, he has all the love and care a family could offer which he takes for granted. While working towards his dream, his life takes a beautiful turn when he bumps into the perfect girl Neha (Nandana Sen). The two fall in love, and nothing seems able to come between them.

Nothing...until it's time for their families to meet. Sparks fly. Every known disaster strikes when the hyper-vibrant Mr.Bhalla (Anupam Kher) and the rigidly conventional Mr.Patel (Boman Irani) meet. Both are hilariously different. Both are woefully mismatched. Naturally both the fathers lock horns and vehemently oppose the MATCH.

The lovebirds must find a way to bring their families together and this leads to a series of misadventures. In this process, Aman realizes the true definition of family and what it really means to love someone.

Will Aman be able to bring the two families together? And will he succeed in achieving his dream?

The movie brings alive a hilarious star-crossed romance while never forgetting the importance of family, culture, and staying true to one's emotions.

Summary of KAMBAKHT ISHQ AND NEW YORK

KAMBAKHT ISHQ

“Women are only good for two things…making love and making love” – Vijay Shergill, stuntman.

“All men are dogs” – Simrita Rai, supermodel.

So what happens when Vijay (Akshay Kumar) and Simrita (Kareena Kapoor) cross paths??

The stage is set for the battle of the sexes and some acidic foreplay.

Stark opposites and fiery, the two despite their best efforts, are thrown together. The story zooms in on their squabbles, scathing exchanges and how despite all odds they end up together.

Some action. Some glamour. Some love. And a whole lot of cat fights. That’s Kambakkth Ishq for you.

NEW YORK

New York brings to screen an event that reverberated universally.

It touches the lives of three friends – Maya (Katrina Kaif), Sameer (John Abraham) and Omar (Neil Nitin Mukesh) – leading a carefree life in New York.

The catastrophic terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on 9/11 is the ugly twist in the tale which turns their lives topsy turvy.

Irrfan Khan steps in as a crime investigator.

Their identities, based on their ethnicity, comes under scrutiny and they have to face an unfair yet harsh reality in an atmosphere charged with suspicion and paranoia

Sumaries of LUCK,SHORTKUT-THE CON IS ON

LUCK

Luck is a slick flick about the changing flavours and favours of luck.

Life’s not being too kind to Ram Mehra (Imran Khan) but he is ever willing to grab any and every opportunity that comes his way.

Raising the obstacles is the mafia lord Moussa (Sanjay Dutt) who is a gambler at heart and at play.

Do they manage to outwit luck or does luck outwit them?

SHORTKUT-THE CON IS ON

Shortkut – The Con is On is an entertaining tale of con, deceit, super stardom and the subsequent fall.

It is a story of the trials and tribulations of two con artists, a struggling director and actor, and the wacky situations they face in the pursuit of their tinsel town dreams.

Shekhar (Akshaye Khanna), an aspiring assistant director and Chandu (Arshad Warsi), a wannabe junior artiste meet each other while struggling to make it in the film industry. While Shekhar is supremely talented and confident, Chandu is a buffoon and a non actor who thinks he is God’s gift to Bollywood!

Chandu manages to steal Shekhar’s prized script and is catapulted to super stardom. Following this incident, Shekhar plunges into a phase of self pity and dejection, which results in his wife Mansi (Amrita Rao) leaving him. Shattered, Shekhar is now looking for that golden chance to get even with Chandu.

Shot in picturesque Thailand, Shortkut comes with a generous dose of laughter and emotions that tug at your heartstrings.

It comes from the production house of veteran actor, Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire) and director Neeraj Vora (Phir Hera Pheri).

Kaminey Story Summary

Khan’s Cricket Team Kolkata Knight Riders

Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders play their first match here Sunday and the superstar says that his team “are the declared winners”

Bollywood superstarsaid: “Being an actor I have always thought everything in larger-than-life perspective. Knight Riders’ matches will also be no exception. Being a little tongue-in-cheek, at Eden Gardens, we will exhibit two helmets - an 18-carat gold-plated and a diamond studded one respectively to show the other teams that we are the declared winners. The matches are just child’s play for us.’’

“I believe it’s my duty to entertain people whether it’s in films or in the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches. Though I am not going to dance at the gallery, I will be present at Edens.”

According to him, the match will surely be a star-studded affair. “Rani (Mukerji), Bipasha (Basu) and Kareena (Kapoor) have verbally confirmed their presence. With Kareena nowadays we get a Saif Ali Khan for free! So Saif can also be expected. I personally will try to convince John (Abraham) and Karan (Johar) to fly down as well. I have personally invited Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi to come and cheer for us at the Edens,” Shah Rukh said.

King Khan is surely doing his bit, while the people Kolkata have already made their plans for the matches. “We have arranged for a procession from Hatibagan in central Kolkata to the Eden Gardens. Twenty belly dancers will dance their way to the ground on a 16-wheeled container trailer,” said Arnab Roy, joint secretary of the Shah Rukh Khan Fans Club.

Roy said this is the first time in the history of Edens that supporters will enter the grounds with drums and play them at the gallery. “We will also decorate the gallery with Knight Riders flags, banners and festoons. Shah Rukh has promised to help us deck up the gallery,” he added.

Fans and fan clubs of Sourav Ganguly, captain of the Knight Riders, and Shah Rukh have arranged mass screening of all the matches at select places across the city.

Golden-black billboards and posters of the ‘Knights’ - with their faces painted in gold - are evoking much excitement in all Kolkatans irrespective of age.

Ticket sales for the IPL matches began here Monday. And since then, there have been long queues outside the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) ticket counters every day.

“All the tickets for the first two Knight Riders matches at Edens - on April 20 against Deccan Chargers, and April 29 against Mumbai Indians - are sold out. I am sure tickets for the other five matches will also sell like hot cake once Kolkatans get the taste of the first match at Edens,” said CAB joint secretary Amitabha Bandopadhyay.

Out of the 14 matches of the Kolkata Knight Riders, seven will be played at the Eden Gardens ground here.

The first match of the IPL kicked off Friday with the Knight Riders emerging victorious over the Bangalore Royal Challengers at the Chinnasawmy Stadium in Bangalore.

As the team’s slogan goes, its all about “Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo” (Do, Fight, Win) for the “King’s Men”.

Top 10 Movies this Month

1. “Fanaa” - Director: Kunal Kohli. Apart from Aamir Khan-Kajol’s pairing there isn’t any other attraction in “Fanaa” but pre-release controversy may have helped lure audiences who are still thronging the theatres.

2. “Tom, Dick & Harry” - Director: Deepak Tijori. After lying low for weeks the film has taken a leap this week and reached No.2 position. It seems audiences have started enjoying the antics of three physically impaired heroes.

3. “36 China Town” - Director: Abbas-Mustan. The Shahid Kapur-Kareena Kapoor magic is wearing out and the movie has slipped a notch.

4. “Chup Chup Ke” - Director: Priyadarshan. Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav’s chemistry is the highlight of the comic caper.

5. “Phir Hera Pheri” - Director: Pankaj Vora. The film has some funny moments and Akshay Kumar’s comic act is enjoyable. Writer-director Pankaj Vora, who penned the script of “Hera Pheri”, has not used his creativity this time - the movie is a copy of British filmmaker Guy Ritchie’s “Snatch”.

6. “Rang De Basanti” - Director: Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The film’s unprecedented success at the box office has not only added another feather in Aamir Khan’s cap but also given a new lease of life to Mehra’s career.

7. “Gangster” - Director: Anurag Basu. Audiences are no longer showing interest in the mobster’s love story. As a result the film has nose-dived from the third position and landed on number seven.

8. “Sacred Evil” - Director: Abhigyan Jha and Abiyaan Rajhans. Inspired by real-life witch Ipsita Roy Chakraverti, the film about religion and evil fails to appeal to non-believing audiences.

9. “Humko Deewana Kar Gaye” - Director: Raj Kanwar. The film has nothing new to offer, moves at a sluggish pace and lacks depth too.

10. “Pyare Mohan” - Director: Indra Kumar. The director has failed to place the jokes in the right places as a result of which the film falls flat on ticket windows.
